At Antiquity Wool, growing our fiber begins with the land, guided by a commitment to regenerative stewardship and purposeful animal husbandry. Our sheep play an active role in targeted grazing partnerships with vineyards in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where they contribute to healthier and more resilient agricultural ecosystems. Through managed grazing, our flock supports nutrient cycling, rebuilds soil structure, improves water infiltration, and aids in carbon sequestration, while providing effective sub-canopy vegetation management and control of noxious plant species. From sheep…

Our flock is comprised of Shetland and Horned Dorset sheep, heritage breeds valued for their hardiness, strong maternal instincts, and adaptability across diverse environments. These resilient sheep produce exceptional wool while thriving in Pacific Northwest environment. The fiber they grow becomes the foundation of Antiquity Wool’s hand spinning fleeces, yarns, and finished textiles.

to wool…

Each spring, we shear our flocks to carefully remove the high-quality fleeces grown over the past year. This annual shearing makes lambing easier for our ewes and ensures the animals are kept healthy and cool during the warm summer months.

To textiles…

We offer luxurious hand spinning fleeces, particularly from our Shetland flock. The remainder of the fleeces are sold through our wool co-op or are transformed into our line of finished textile goods. From raw fleece to completed pieces, we work intentionally to preserve the natural qualities of the wool and create durable heritage pieces.
